Gboard gets new look with renewed font and dark theme
Google is revamping the look of the Gboard keyboard with two very interesting news. The 9.6 beta version of the app, which is being tested on the Android 11 beta, brings a new dark theme that blends with the characteristics of the totally clear theme, presented in April, in version 9.3 of the app, but with the colors properly changed, for integrating better with the dark theme that is applied to the rest of the system.
The new app has darker keys and backgrounds than the current version’s theme.
In addition to the revitalized dark theme, Google decided to replace the Roboto font with Google Sans. It’s not a big change, but the new font is a little bigger and can be viewed a little more easily.
The Gboard 9.6 beta also has a shortcut to Google Lens, which makes it easy to launch the second app, if necessary. The shortcut is positioned on the top bar, next to other easily accessible icons. In addition, the new emoji package (version 13.0) has also been enabled.

We must emphasize that these new features may change until they are released in a final version of the application. In some cases, they may not even be released.
