HTC continues to work to return to being the great Android mobile brand that it was before. To do this, they are trying to revive the Wildfire family of smartphones that performed very well in the past. In 2019, they launched the low-end HTC Wildfire X and now they have put the new HTC Wildfire E2 on sale in Russia, which comes to compete in the cheapest range of all.
Interestingly, the company has not made a formal presentation of the mobile. However, as it is already available on the Russian market, all its official specifications are known. Next, we present them to you along with their official price. Are you interested in cheap Android phones? Well, this HTC Wildfire E2 will possibly go on sale in more markets soon, so join us to see what it offers.
Features of the HTC Wildfire E2
The HTC Wildfire E2 is a low-end smartphone and as such it doesn’t flaunt its specs but rather its price. A basic mobile with an HD screen and dual 16 MP camera
The design of the HTC Wildfire E2 is the classic of today’s low-end smartphones. It has a small drop-shaped notch where your selfie camera is housed. Its body is made of plastic and on the back, it has a circular fingerprint reader along with the dual camera located in a small oval.
As a display, it uses a 6.22-inch IPS panel with HD + resolution. Does not offer the best image quality in the low range, especially if we compare it with the Redmi 9 whose screen does reach Full HD + resolution. However, this lack of screen quality, the HTC Wildfire E2 makes up for with a lower price, as we will see later.
On the other hand, as for the photographic section, use a rear camera of 16 MP accompanied by a 2 MP secondary sensor that allows you to apply effects such as bokeh. Its selfie camera, on the other hand, is 8 MP.
The HTC Wildfire E2 has a good amount of internal memory and RAM
Despite being a low-end, HTC has added a lot of RAM to the Wildfire E2. Specifically, this mobile has 4 GB of RAM accompanied by 64 GB of storage that guarantees excellent performance. This is also possible thanks to the efficient MediaTek Helio P22 processor that it incorporates. Of course, we say “efficient”, but with basic tasks, social networks, etc. For games, better find another mobile.
Another positive point for the HTC Wildfire E2 is that it has a great 4000 mAh battery that ensures a full day of autonomy. However, although it is charged through a USB C port, it does not support any type of fast charging technology. The good thing, on the other hand, is that it brings Android 10 out of the box so you can enjoy the latest Android news as soon as you start using it.
Price and availability of the HTC Wildfire E2
Right now, the HTC Wildfire E2 can only be bought in Russia where it is available in black and blue for a price of 8,760 rubles which, in exchange, would be about 100 euros. If we consider the amount of memory it brings, the price is not bad although its screen and processor leave to be desired.
It is expected to launch in other countries at a similar price soon. However, HTC hasn’t mentioned anything about this so far, so we’re staying tuned to update you when the company announces the international launch of this HTC Wildfire E2. In the meantime, tell us … What do you think of this new mobile? Will it be another failure of HTC?
