Huawei Adds the Oximeter To Band 4 With An Update

Huawei Band 4 is updated to version

The Huawei Band 4 was released last year with a ton of features: sleep monitoring, heart rate measurement, various sport modes, etc. However, until recently it did not have the ability to measure blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), despite the fact that it comes from the factory with a dedicated sensor.

Luckily, the Huawei Band 4 has just received an update that enables the oximeter function.

This update only weighs 5.46 MB and includes the version 1.0.2.96 of the firmware of the Huawei Band 4.

In addition to the incorporation of the oximeter, this new firmware also fixes some display errors and optimizes the alarm functions and sport modes. So if you have a Huawei Band 4, upgrade it as soon as possible to take it to the next level.

Huawei Band 4 is updated to version 1.0.2.96: this is all you need to know

Huawei Band 4 is updated

The latest update for the Huawei Band 4 has just been released worldwide in a phased manner. That is, if you still do not see the notification on your mobile to update the smart band, do not despair because it may take a while, but sooner or later it will arrive.

Also, remember that this update comes through the Huawei Health app with which you must have your Huawei Band 4 synchronized. To carry out the installation of the update, you just have to do this:

  • Activate the Bluetooth of the Huawei Band 4 and connect it with your mobile.
  • Enter the Huawei Health app.
  • Go to the Devices option.
  • Find your Huawei Band 4.
  • Select Firmware update and, if you can already download the latest update, follow the steps on the screen to do so.

Thus, you will receive version 1.0.2.96 of the bracelet firmware, the main novelty of which is the incorporation of a function with which you can measure your blood oxygen level (SpO2). This feature is especially useful, as it lets you know if your body’s blood is sufficiently oxygenated to provide energy to your muscles and to make them function properly. For your reference, SpO2 levels between 90% and 100% are normal. Any measured value that deviates from that range can be worrisome.

Please note that the Huawei Band 4, like any other smart band, is not a medical instrument.

His measurements always have a margin of error and you should only take them as a personal reference. Anyway, if you have already been able to update your Huawei Band 4, tell us what you think about this new function.
