The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is totally different from the Redmi Note 10 Pro / Pro Max sold outside of China. This new smartphone has a different design and better features than its 4G variant.

THE Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi launched the series Redmi Note 10 5G in China. The line includes two pieces of equipment: the Redmi Note 10 5G it’s the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G. Both bring some features worthy of a premium smartphone, at very interesting prices.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is totally different from Redmi Note 10 Pro / Pro Max sold outside China. This new smartphone has a different design and better features than its 4G variant. However, all of this comes with a sacrifice, in this case, the AMOLED display that is found in the 4G variants of the series Redmi Note 10.

The smartphone arrives in three colors – Phantom Blue, Moon, and Star Sand. The first two color variants (Blue, White) have a stereoscopic 3D texture. This pattern is similar to that of the Mi 11 Lei Jun Signature Edition. While the third has shiny particles that mimic the stars at night.

The smartphone measures 163.3 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm in dimensions and weighs 193g. But still, it is supported by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and battery health management system. THE Redmi claims that this phone can be fully charged within 42 minutes. The device comes with a Xiaomi Mi 67W charger, which supports both USB PD (Power Delivery) and Qualcomm QC (Quick Charge).

On the front, the device has a 6.6-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD +), a refresh rate of 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and a central cutout for the camera. The screen supports a six-phase refresh rate function. This means that the screen updates at 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, or 120Hz based on the content.

In addition, the panel supports the DCI-P3 color range and has a typical brightness level of just 450 nits. However, unlike other phones in the segment, the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Inside, the smartphone has an SoC MediaTek Dimensity 1100along with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. To keep the phone cool, it comes with a “quad cooling system” composed of VC (Steam Chamber), graphite, thermally conductive gel, and copper foil to offer a heat dissipation area of 16370mm².

As for photography and video, the phone uses a triple camera configuration of 64MP (angled) + 8MP (120 ° ultra-angular) + 2MP (macro) on the back and a 16MP camera on the front. This camera system clearly lags behind the present in the Redmi Note 10 Pro / Pro Max.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports dual-SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC 3.0, and GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, GALILEO, GLONASS, QZSS). It has all the essential ports and sensors, such as USB Type-C, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, 360 ° ambient light sensor, gyroscope, ultrasonic proximity sensor, compass, and infrared sensor. But, unfortunately, it lacks both fan favorites – headphone jack with 3.5 mm jack and MicroSD card slot.

Last, but not least, the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and features dual JBL-certified stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, 3 microphones, plus an X-axis linear vibration motor.
