Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 gets Android 11 update

Samsung has been releasing the Android 11 stable update for its eligible devices since December 2020. The company has managed to provide said updates for almost all supported devices.

‎A Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 with S Pen in the first half of 2019. The entry-level tablet from the South Korean tech giant debuted with the One UI based on Android 9.0 Pie. It was updated to Android 10 (One UI 2.x) last year. Now, it has started to receive its second major update in the form of the One UI Core 3.1 based on Android 11.‎

Samsung has been releasing the Android 11 stable update for its eligible devices since December 2020. The company has managed to provide said updates for almost all supported devices. Only a few entry-level smartphones and tablets are yet to receive this update.‎

Now the South Korean tech giant has just started sending the update One UI 3.1 Core (Android 11) for this equipment.‎ According to ‎‎SamMobile‎The latest system update for this tablet is currently taking place in Chile and the Philippines. It arrives with firmware version P205DXU5CUE3 and is being released in batches.‎

‎The update is expected to reach other regional variants of this tablet in the coming days. Users can go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to check if the tablet has received the update One UI Core 3.1.‎

‎Android 11 is the latest big update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 with S Pen. However, the tablet is eligible for at least four years of security updates. Therefore, your software support should last until 2023.‎+

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) is powered by an SoC from Qualcomm snapdragon 429 paired with 2GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage, but this can be expanded with the inclusion of a MicroSD slot that allows for expansion up to 512GB. The phone runs the Android Pie of manufactures. It also has stereo speakers and comes with an 8MP rear and a 2MP front camera.
